Paula Pyne, Principal, Uplift Consulting & Founder of Women Inspire
Paula is fueled by ideas and people, likes to connect the dots, relate and inspire others. Having been through the rigour of corporate life, MBA training, start-ups, career transition and the rawness of self development work– she gets it.
Her good fortune began with an array of diverse organizations: General Motors, Humber College, Sirius Canada and Knightsbridge where she gained experience in marketing, human resources and education.
With 15+ years business experience, progressing into senior roles, she developed and led effective integrated marketing campaigns, built relationships, educated and created awareness – all of which sparked positive growth of products, services and people.
Paula holds a BA in Psychology, a Human Resources Management diploma, an MBA in Executive Management and recently completed yoga teacher training. She is a part-time professor at Humber College’s Business School, and a certified yoga teacher (250hrs). She was also nominated as a leader for the Hot Mommas Project, which aims to provide positive entrepreneurial role models for young women.
Many years of volunteer work and former board member with a local not-for-profit, iSisters Technology Mentoring, Paula is always looking for ways to be of service and give back to the community.
She loves to spend time with her husband, read and enjoy long hikes in the Gatineau Park. A lifelong learner and yogi, you’ll often see her at Elation Centre or taking an art class at the Ottawa School of Art.
